Summerversity is back with a hot line-up of activities and opportunities on offer this summer for young people aged 13-16. Lots of these activities are happening right on the doorstep in Finsbury Park, and best of all they are free. So don’t miss out. Check out what’s available and book your place as soon as possible.

Discover Tech
A first glimpse into the tech revolution where science-fiction is becoming science-fact. Try cutting edge technologies such as 3D printing, 3Doodle pens, virtual and augmented reality – using Oculus Rift, virtual reality headsets, Google Cardboard, Google Glass and Meta Spaceglasses. Have a go at coding with Scratch, Python and Raspberry Pi or video production using 360 degree cameras.

Boxing

Athletics

Animation – Away from the Western Front
Would you like to learn animation, storyboarding and editing skills with professional animators? Then join this course to design, animate and edit your own film about World War I. Tell the story of the Finsbury Rifles’ experience of war: riding camels, visiting pyramids, battling disease and desert warfare.

Camping skills
Camping is a fun activity but you need manual skills. There are many things to do and know about before you set out on this adventure. Learn how to put up a tent properly, how to use a map, compass and camping stove. At the end of the week you will utilise your new skills on a camping weekend.
